The Credit Recovery courses are set up to resemble the standard Lincoln Interactive classes. Students have access to all course content. The only required assignments in these courses are the Mid-Unit Quizzes, Unit Exams, and the Final Exam. Any additional assignment completed outside of the required will calculate into the overall score of the course.
Consumer Math Part 1 shows students how math is used in everyday life. The course instructs students to calculate earnings from a job, shop for and work with food, buy clothing, manage a household, buy and maintain a car, and helps students understand interest rates and car insurance premiums. Also, this course reinforces basic mathematical skills, including dividing, multiplying, adding and subtracting integers, working with one-step equations, and percentages.
It is recommended that students possess a solid understanding of the concepts covered in Pre-Algebra or equivalent course work before enrolling in this course.
